Cargografias FranceUse Case
A new project started at the OGP Summit Hackathon (Dec 7-9 2016 in Paris). Makes use of PopIt NG (a modified version of PopIt / Popolo data standard by Sinar Project), data from EveryPolitician and Wikidata and the frontend of Cargografias. The result is a new tool to visualize mandates and positions held by politicians from France.

Politicians visualized. Cargografias is a visualization tool that shows the politicians careers in a easy-to-read timeline for you to draw conclusions. Looking at a plotline of their past, we can choose wisely in the future. There are plenty Cargografias Instances in Latinamerica like Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay. It's an open source - crowdsourced tool, where all the participants help build better datasets and also improve the code and visualizations. Making a new instance is as easy as gathering a first bunch of data about local politicians and uploading it to a new instance.
WikidataPlatform
Wikidata is a free and open knowledge base that can be read and edited by both humans and machines. Wikidata acts as central storage for the structured data of its Wikimedia sister projects including Wikipedia, Wikivoyage, Wikisource, and others. Wikidata also provides support to many other sites and services beyond just Wikimedia projects! The content of Wikidata is available under a free license, exported using standard formats, and can be interlinked to other open data sets on the linked data web.
